Clyde M. Buck, 92, Barron, Wis., went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 13, 2014. He passed with his family and friends around him.

Clyde was born Jan. 31, 1922, to Howard and Pearl (Downs) Buck in Prairie Farm.

Clyde married Lila Anderson on Dec. 22, 1948, at Hillsdale. Clyde was a longtime Barron County farmer. For 23 years, he drove school bus for Barron Area Schools. Clyde had a heart for the students and enjoyed driving for extracurricular activities.

Clyde was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Barron.

He was a loving husband and father and will be dearly missed, but remembered by his family and friends. He will also be remembered for his great sense of humor.

Clyde greatly appreciated the care he received from Chuck and Karen for the past several years.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son Jerry (Phyllis) of Chetek; daughters Marilyn (David) Westrate of Eau Claire and Lois (John) Kemlo of Santa Maris, Calif.; nine grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; a brother Howard Jr. of La Crosse; and sisters Doris Ward of Montana, Marjorie (Roger) Porath of Yucca Valley, Calif., Ethel (Pete) Kruger of Cameron and Barb (Bill) Hanley of Tucson, Ariz.

Clyde was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson and a sister Geneva.

Services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 27, from Calvary Baptist Church, with Rev. John Terpstra officiating.

Visitation will be held an hour prior to services at the church.

Rausch and Steel Funeral Home, Barron, is handling arrangements.
