John C. Leaman, 70, Ridgeland, Wis., died Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017.

He was born April 29, 1947, to Carleton and Julia (Kieffer) Leaman at Minneapolis, Minn. He was raised and attended school during his early years at Maple Plain, Minn. The family moved to Prairie Farm when John was a sophomore and he graduated from Prairie Farm High School in 1965.

On April 19, 1969, he married Kaye Kimberly at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Barron.

John attended and later taught at the Eau Claire Vocational College. He also attended two years at UW-Stout. He worked for National Presto, Eau Claire, for a couple of years and had operated his farm in Ridgeland since 1972.

John enjoyed attending his grandkids' various events, visiting casinos, watching the Game Show Network and spending time at their lake home.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son Michael (Kristin) of Mequon; daughters Kimberly (Dean) Frandsen of Barron and Christina (Scott) Manwarren of Rosemount, Minn.; grandchildren Lola and Stella Leaman, Isaiah, Carter and Sydney Frandsen, and Luke, Mark and Zach Manwarren; brothers Dennis (Pam) of Alamo, Texas, and Robert (Virginia) of Bailey, Colo.; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

John was preceded in death by his parents.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21, from St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, with the Revs. Bala Raju Policetty and Gerard Wilger officiating.

Visitation was held 4-8 p.m. Monday from Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Home, Dallas, and an hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be held on a later date at Greenwood Cemetery, Town of Dallas, rural Ridgeland.

Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Dallas and Cameron, are handling arrangements.
