Almena woman accused of theft, spiking coffee

Felony theft and forgery charges have been filed against an Almena woman in connection with the theft of more than $10,000 from a Rice Lake law firm, according to Barron County Circuit Court documents.

Kay Lee Gysbers, 63, 389 12 3/4Ave., Almena, was also charged with mixing a caustic substance into a co-worker’s cup of coffee on Dec. 27, 2012, two days before she was fired from her job, the complaint said.
