One of Barron’s newest retail businesses will introduce itself to the public when Domino’s Pizza hosts a grand opening from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. this Saturday, June 1, 2019, at 1151 E. Division Ave.
The new “pizza theater store” includes a lobby, viewing area of the food preparation process and a screen for electronic carryout orders.
The business is owned by New Richmond resident Mark Forder, who also owns four other Domino’s franchise stores in New Richmond, Somerset, Baldwin and Rice Lake.
The store was approved last February by the city council. At the time, Forder said the new store would employ between seven and nine full-time drivers, three full-time assistant managers, six or seven part-time employees to answer phones and/or provide customer service, and up to eight part-time drivers.
Forder worked for the Domino’s corporate office in the Twin Cities during the 1990s. He was also responsible for Domino’s stores in Michigan before he moved to New Richmond and opened his first franchise there in 2002.
“We are dedicated to the Barron area and are excited about the opportunity to serve its residents,” Forder said. “Our goal is to continue to develop a loyal customer following by delivering hot, great-tasting pizza at a great price.”
