Barron Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce six outstanding high school students who will be representing Barron Chamber of Commerce in 2017/2018.
The Young Ambassador program is a great way for local students to learn about how the Chamber of Commerce works. They are involved with meeting new businesses, attending local parades to promote Chamber of Commerce, and volunteering at local events. Please congratulate the following individuals for receiving the honor of being this year’s Barron Chamber of Commerce Young Ambassadors:
Lexi Brunkow – Senior, Barron High School. She is a member of the National Honors Society and is on high honor roll. She enjoys staying active in her school and community. She participates in basketball, tennis, soccer, art club and Positive Attitudes for Life. Lexi also volunteers for her church and assists at girls basketball tournaments. Lexi is the daughter of Kelly and Tim Brunkow.
Sophie Kieler – Senior, Barron High School. She is a member of the National Honors Society and is on high honor roll. She is very involved in school clubs. Art Club, FFA, Positive Attitudes for Life, Varsity Softball and Book Club just to name a few. She also very active in the community, volunteering for her church and a local 4-H club. Sophie is planning on attending Chippewa Valley Technical College next fall in the dental assistant program. Sophie is the daughter of April Kieler and Tony Kieler.
Mitchell Gordon, Junior, Barron High School. He is a member of the National Honors Society and is on the high honor roll. Mitchell is involved in helping with Meal from the Heart at his church. He also has helped out with flag football through the Barron Area Community Center. He is involved with school sports and also school clubs. Mitchell is the son of Karlene McGinnis and Tim Gordon.
Lauren Maas, Sophomore, Barron High School. Lauren is a member of the FCCLA and FFA. She participates in softball and basketball. She is also an active member of the Poskin Jets 4-H club. She does participate in community service through her 4-H group. Lauren is the daughter of Jodie and Bryan Maas.
Jada Brunkow, Freshman, Barron High School. Jada is an active volunteer in numerous ways. Assisting kids for the summer school and basketball program. She is also an active member of her church. Jada is the daughter of Kelly and Tim Brunkow.
Ana Delatorre, Freshman, Barron High School. Ana has participated in her community by volunteering. She has made ornaments for the elderly at Christmas time, volunteering to rake leaves, and shopping for people in need. She participates in basketball, volleyball and soccer. Ana is the daughter of Becky Belanger and Nino Delatorre.
