Excavation begins at Anderson Park

Heavy equipment was busy Thursday, April 26, 2018, on what used to be the blacktopped tennis courts at Barron’s Anderson Park. The pavement was stripped away to get ready for a larger project that will improve the drainage in this area of the park. In past years, standing water has been a concern at the park, according to city officials. Improving storm water drainage will enable the city to make better use of this area in the future, according to information shared at previous meetings of the Barron City Council.                                                                      Photo by Bob Zientara
