Sponsorships are being sought in advance of the third annual Barron County Talent Show on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2020, at the Barron Area Community Center.
Jocelyn Dietsche, choral director, and Haylee Lytle, band director, both of Barron High School, are planning the 2020 show. Last year’s show drew more than 40 student musicians and singers from eight area school districts.
The teachers said the overall goal is to promote the musical development of Barron County students, giving them a chance to perform and be judged. Students will audition before the show. The final performances are expected to draw more than 400 people.
There will be prizes awarded to the top scorer and runner up in each of three age groups, as well as a grand prize to the highest scoring act overall.
Competition will take place in three categories including students ages 5-9, 10-13 and 14-18.
Organizers are seeking financial support and/or sponsors for media promotion, printing, prizes (trophies in six categories and cash awards), a stipend for talent judges, commemorative T-shirts, and water for performers and judges.
