The Blue Hills Genealogical Society will host Heather Stecklein, director of the Area Research Center at Menomonie, for their Nov. 11 meeting. Hospitality starts at 6:30 with the program at 7:00 p.m. at the Barron Senior Center, 12 N. 3rd St. The meeting is free and open to the public.

Stecklein will discuss the Barron County records held at the Area Research Center in Menomonie. She will cover naturalizations, newspapers, court record indexes, and other records that are available for research at the Area Research Center. Ways to access these records will be covered and questions answered.

This will be the last meeting of the genealogy society until February. The Research Library at 410 E. LaSalle will also be closed during the holiday recess. For research questions, look up chair Rosella Amundson may be contacted at pla@charter.net.
