Child pornography arrests made

Dennis L. Berthold and David M. Johnson were arrested in Rusk County Thursday, suspected of possessing child pornography

The Wisconsin Department of Justice Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and Rusk County Sheriff’s Office announced Friday two men were arrested for suspected possession of child pornography in Rusk County on Thursday, July 11. The two cases are unrelated.

The men were identified as Dennis L. Berthold, 64, and David M. Johnson, 48.

Officers executed a search warrant at Berthold’s home and took him into custody. He was booked in the Rusk County Jail.

Officers also executed a search warrant at Johnson’s home and arrested him. He was booked in the Rusk County Jail.

Cash bond for Berthold was set at $1,000 in Rusk County Circuit Court.

Cash bond for Johnson was set at $1,000 in Rusk County Circuit Court.

No use or possession of electronic communication device capable of downloading or storing imagery also was ordered for both men.

The investigation was condjucted by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and Rusk County Sheriff’s Office.
