Piano Solo trophy winner

Leo Luckert, son of Larry and Kay Luckert and a freshman at Cameron High School, recently received a trophy from the Wisconsin Federated Music Club in the Piano Solo Category. This spring Leo achieved a Superior Rating and 45 total points in the annual Wisconsin Federated Music Clubs Festival. He has participated in these piano exams for nine years, held annually at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Each year students must perform two pieces by memory, one piece by an American composer and another piece by a non-American composer. Students receive an adjudication from a judge and points for each year’s performance. Leo’s piano teacher is Lynn Emmons, Nationally Certified Teacher of Music-Piano, of Barron.
