Award celebration

Retired Barron Area School District teacher Lynne Hanse was ceremoniously inducted into the Golden Bears Reaching Their Dreams Wall of Honor last Thursday evening in the new high school gymnasium prior to the Barron boys conference basketball game with the Spooner Rails. The award was presented by high school principal Chad Buss. Many people associated with Hanse’s dedicated teaching career and community volunteerism gave testimony saluting her endeavors via cameo roles on the school’s Jumbotron, which hangs on the south wall of the high school gym. Joining Lynne after the award presentation were, from left, grandson Caiden LaLiberty, and to Lynne’s right, sister Lana Larson of Alaska, daughter, Alaethea LaLiberty, and son-in-law, Luke LaLiberty.
