Completes training

Private Ethan F. Kobernick, 18, of Barron, was graduated from United States Marine Corps boot camp at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Calif., on April 5, 2019. Pvt. Kobernick successfully completed 13 weeks of intensive basic training at MCRD San Diego as one of 68 recruits in 1st Battalion-Bravo Company-Training Platoon 1031. While in recruit training, Pvt Kobernick achieved Rifle Expert and was Scribe for his platoon. Following ten days home on leave, Pvt Kobernick reported to Camp Pendleton for one month of Military Combat Training, graduating on May 14, 2019. He then will report to Military Occupation Specialty School at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., where he will train to be a Motor-T Operator. Pvt Kobernick will be stationed at an undetermined permanent duty station following his training. He is the son of Trevor and Sarah Duncan of Barron, and Cory and Debbie Kobernick of Lancaster, Ky.
