Craig S. Moen, 58, Prairie Farm, Wis., passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side on Sunday, May 5, 2019.
He was born Oct. 20, 1960, to Vernon and Gerene (Knutson) Moen at Rice Lake. He was raised and attended school at Prairie Farm, graduating from Prairie Farm High School in 1979.
On July 24, 1982, he married Geraldine Doerr at Garrison, Minn.
Craig started logging right out of high school, which he did for 32 years, along with some construction work in the summer. In 2011, he and Geraldine opened the Buckhorn Bar in Prairie Farm.
Craig enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, ATV rides, winter trips to Texas and Mexico, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are sons Steven (BreAnn) and Denver (Kori), both of Prairie Farm; daughters Crystal (Jake) Hutchison of Prairie Farm and Misty (Matt) Hoff of Barron; grandchildren Alex, Shane and Mason Moen, Jordan, Evan and Alayna Hutchison, and Karson Moen; brothers Gary (Linda) of White Pine, Mich., Brad (Lori) of Turtle Lake, Darrin (Terri) of Hillsdale and Trevor (Connie) of Turtle Lake; sisters Pam (Ken) White of Cumberland and Vicki Kallenbach of Prairie Farm; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Craig was preceded in death by his mother, a brother Michael, and a sister Peggy Nelson.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 10, from First Lutheran Church of Arland, with Rev. Tim Vettrus officiating and interment at Independent Cemetery, Town Arland.
Visitation will be held 4-8 p.m. Thursday from Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Home, Dallas, and an hour prior to services at the church.
