Vicki L. Cole, 63, Barron, Wis., passed away Monday, Oct. 29, 2018, at Mayo Clinic Health System, Barron, surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Vicki was born Dec. 2, 1954, at Rice Lake to Fredrick and Edna (Quarderer) Neuman. She had three sons.
Vicki was a lifelong resident of Barron. She worked at Jennie-O Turkey Store for 40-plus years. At the time of her retirement, she was a supervisor in the evisceration department. She was respected and admired by her employees, which resulted in many lifelong friendships.
She met her life partner, Phillip Larson, while working at Jennie-O. Together they enjoyed cheering on their beloved Green Bay Packers.
She was also very involved in the Relay for Life held each year in Barron.
Vicki was known for her hardworking and caring personality. She never missed the opportunity to spoil her grandchildren. Vicki had shining eyes and a radiant smile. She enjoyed spending time visiting her friends and family.
At the time of her death, she was a member of Living Waters Church, Cameron.
She will be greatly missed by her many family and friends.
Surviving are sons Jeremy of Cameron, Ben (Stacy) and Matt (Catherine) Cole, both of Barron; 14 grandchildren; a brother Russell (Jolene Wohlk) Neuman of Barron; sisters Gloria Kahl of Barron, Sharon (Larry) Paulson of St. Paul, Minn., Robyn (Joel) Grover of Dallas and Cindy (Randy) Lueck of Bloomer; Phil’s sons James (Kelly) Larson of Amery and Michael (Micki) Larson of Hammond; as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.
Vicki was preceded in death by her parents, her life partner Phil Larson, and a sister Carol Olson.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 2, from Living Waters Church, with Rev. Ned Lenhart officiating and burial at Wayside Cemetery, Barron.
Visitation will be held 4-7 p.m. Thursday from Rausch and Steel Funeral Home, Barron, and an hour prior to services at the church.
