Fire destroys home

Two fire departments battled the third Ladysmith area structure fire in a little more than a month, this time on a call last week northeast of Ladysmith on Dam Road. The Ladysmith Fire Department responded shortly at 7:20 a.m., Friday, Jan. 13, to N5937 Dam Rd., in the town of Dewey. Arriving firefighters found heavy smoke and fire visible from the east part of the house. The fire spread quickly through the entire house, which is considered a total loss along with its contents.
