Consultants hired by the city of Barron will hold an open house from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2019, at City Hall, to update the public on a redevelopment plan for downtown Barron.

Stephen Tremlett, urban designer for the Madison, Wis., office of MSA Professional Services, said the purpose of the open house is to “review the completed draft plan that will guide future improvements in the downtown area over the next 10 to 20 years.”

Consultants will present a summary of the planning process “and (will) hit on the key policies/recommendations,” he said.

Under the open house format, local residents are invited to meet with MSA representatives to ask questions on the plan, which will be displayed on poster boards throughout the room.
