Train-groomer wreck

A westbound train collided with a tractor grooming snowmobile trails at 21 1/2 Street, east of Cameron, around 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 9. The tractor showed significant front end damage, but the single occupant appeared uninjured. The tractor and groomer were being used by the Chetek Snow Flyers Snowmobile Club. The speed limit for trains at the crossing is 25 mph, according to the Federal Railroad Administration.Â
