Damaged buildings

A picnic shelter and concession stand at Barron’s Kiwanis Park have been damaged, evidently by kicked soccer balls, according to local Kiwanis member Larry Greener. Appearing at the City Council’s regular monthly meeting Tuesday, June 11, 2019, Greener asked the city to help the Kiwanis Club pay the costs of repair. He said the cost of materials could range up to $1,000. Greener asked the city to spread the word among area soccer teams not to cause any further damages. Photo by Bob Zientara
