A man whom authorities said was wanted on multiple warrants was arrested Friday afternoon, Nov. 2, 2018, after a high-speed chase through parts of three townships near Barron, according to Barron County dispatch logs.

The arrested man was tentatively identified as 57-year-old Dean Dwayne Moe, Barron. He was booked into the Barron County Jail Nov. 2 on charges of misdemeanor bail jumping, knowingly fleeing an officer, driving while revoked, violating terms of probation and resisting or obstructing an officer.

Dispatch logs said 10 officers were involved in the chase, which was first reported shortly after 12 noon by a deputy in pursuit of a vehicle going 80 mph on southbound Rabbit Trail Road near U.S. Hwy. 8.

The fleeing vehicle was later tracked at 90 mph as it zigzagged along various town roads in the towns of Arland and Maple Grove, including 10 1/2 Avenue, 10 1/2 Street, 11th Street, 13th Street, 12th Avenue and, finally, a hay field in the 1200 block of Eighth Street, town of Clinton, where it came to a stop.

Dispatch logs said a K9 officer was deployed, and police later called an ambulance to treat the suspect for a dog bite.

At the time of the chase, Moe was wanted on multiple warrants, two of them out of Barron County, and a felony warrant from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.

Formal charges had yet to be filed by press time Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018.
