A 38-year-old Minnesota man will spend three years in prison in connection with the theft of nearly $4,000 cash from a Cumberland business, Barron County Circuit Court records said.

Anthony R. Pearson, of Minneapolis, Minn., was sentenced Friday, Jan. 25, 2019.

He and a codefendant, Gwen J. Seeley, 45, also of Minneapolis, were charged with burglarizing Lundmark Campers, 2236 U.S. Hwy. 63, town of Crystal Lake, on the night of April 9-10, 2018. The complaint charged Pearson and his co-defendant with stealing a safe containing $3,900 cash, business documents and checks, and about $20 to $30 cash from the cash register.

Pearson allegedly told police he had “blown” his share of the cash at St. Croix Casino in Turtle Lake.

Court records said Pearson was given credit for 175 days already served. He and Seeley, who pleaded guilty to a reduced misdemeanor charge last September, were ordered to make restitution of $4,409 to their victim.
