A 20-year-old former Barron man who was serving time in a limited-security correctional facility was allowed an early release after a July 30, 2019, hearing in Barron County Circuit Court.
Dylan J. Homme was sentenced to prison Aug. 3, 2018, after his probation was revoked in connection with a felony marijuana conviction, court records said. The sentence was to be served at the Winnebago Correctional Facility, Oshkosh.
Court records said Homme was given credit for 225 days already served when he was sentenced. He had been serving three years’ probation in connection with a 2017 marijuana distribution conviction, but his probation was revoked in June of 2018.
At the July 30, hearing, the court agreed to convert the prison term to “extended supervision” and release Homme after he said he had obtained a general equivalency degree (high school diploma) in April 2019.
