A Turtle Lake man charged with stealing cabinets and interior doors from a foreclosed home has been ordered to pay more than $31,000 in restitution to a bank that foreclosed on his property in 2017, Barron County Circuit Court records said.

David A. Osterman, 52, Turtle Lake, was originally charged with a felony in connection with the disappearance of kitchen cabinets, countertops, a sink, interior doors and other items from a foreclosed home valued at $242,370.61, according to a complaint filed in August 2018.

He later pleaded guilty to a pair of reduced misdemeanor charges.

During a court appearance Thursday, June 20, 2019, Osterman was put on probation for two years and ordered to make monthly payments of at least $400 to Dairy State Bank, until the full restitution is paid.

A restitution hearing is set for Sept. 17, 2019, court records said.
